About Me

My name is Mark Hogan, I was born on the 8th October 1963 at Dulwich Hospital in South London. I lived in London for three years and then I moved to Houghton Regis near Dunstable in Bedfordshire in 1966 and was brought up in that area.

The area we lived in had lots of wonderful places to visit to see Wildlife and Nature, we would often go out for a Sunday morning walk to a Wood or near a reservoir and I became fascinated with Birds and Wildlife. My sister and I used to test each other on identification and we both became quite good at it. One of my earliest school memories is when a teacher named Mr Gilbert asked for me to go and see him at a class room. I had no idea why. When I arrived he showed me a huge flock of Redwing's because he knew I loved Birds so much. They are amazing birds just like Thrushes.
